New Book Progress Report

A children's book should have 24 pages at the least. Well, that's what I was told when I was publishing my first book. So, I am halfway done with writing and illustrating the story if you consider this as a benchmark.

I have 11 crudely done illustrations which I will be making much better for the final product. Right now the illustrations are just being roughly done so that I know what I'm going to illustrate as the actual images. I was using stick figures at first, but I decided to use clip art instead. Again, this is just to give me a visual and they will not be used in the book. I am going to be doing my own illustrations. I intend on being finished with these sets of rough illustrations by the end of July.

Regarding the actual written story line, it is all done. However, I am never satisfied with the first draft with whatever I am writing. So, I am editing it. I am halfway done with editing the storyline. I am hoping to be finished with editing the story line by the end of July.

My timeframe for the rough draft of illustrations and story line is the end of July for a reason. I'm going on vacation at the end of July. So, when I get back home, I intend on doing the real illustrations.

If you would like to see my other blog at wordpress, I post there as well. But I post different topics than I do here. So, each of my blogs are different. The link to my blog on wordpress is as follows https://2kathleenivan.wordpress.com/
