Art Class Projects
I have been rather busy with my Art Class. So, I decided I would post some of my work on here to show you what I've been up to in class.
This is supposed to be a square that was cut up and placed in a way that you can't visually put it back together.
This one is supposed to look like you can visually put the square back together.
The above composition is just balancing the white and black with horizontal and vertical lines.
This is just balancing the white and black with diagonal lines.
This is just balancing the white and black with curved lines.
This is just balancing the white and black with horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and curved lines.
This is supposed to look like a pattern that is ebbing and flowing (going up and down).
This one is supposed to look like you can't visually put the square back together.
These two compositions have the objective to position the squares in a way that is visually pleasing and uses the white and black in a balanced way.
This one has the objective to be a pattern that doesn't look totally uniform, but uses color and the white background of the paper in a balanced way.
This one is a counterchange pattern. The objects used should be a little hard to see but should be recognizable after a little while of looking at the composition.
These are just a few of the things I've done. Of course I'll be doing more things as class isn't finished yet.
This is just an introductory class so these projects aren't too complicated. But they are somewhat interesting and help us "artists" in our furture art endeavors.
Enjoy,
Kathleen Ivan
